News Brief | Association Invited to Attend the Opening of "China-Thailand Family" Cultural Exhibition!

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between China and Thailand, as well as the 25th anniversary of Shantou and Bangkok becoming sister cities for friendly exchanges. To strengthen the traditional friendship between China and Thailand and elevate the bond between the two cities, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shantou Municipal Committee, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Thailand in Guangzhou, launched the "Chaoyun Thai Connection" cultural exhibition as part of the "China-Thailand: One Family" series at the century-old overseas Chinese mansion, the Chen Cihong Former Residence.

As an invited organization, the STTGIA brought together companies to witness this extraordinary moment. Vice Chairman Cai Yue, association member Wu Bohong, and Deputy Secretary-General Rao Jie participated in the event.

Launch Ceremony

At the event, Chen Qian, Director of the Asian Affairs Department of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province; Kajtiti Wiwatwanont, Consul General of Thailand in Guangzhou; Li Hongzhao, Director of the Foreign Affairs Bureau of Shantou City, and Mr. Chan Yinling , representing the Hong Kong's Kiet Tai Lung & Co. Ltd. took the stage to speak and jointly launched the "Chaoyun Thai Connection" cultural exhibition, part of the "China-Thailand Family Ties" series.

Cultural Exhibition

The event was bustling with a vibrant crowd and an electric atmosphere. A dazzling array of performances—from the spirited Yingge Dance and ancient Muay Thai to the mythical Kylin Dance—took turns to grace the stage, leaving the audience spellbound by the non-sTop spectacle. Through these vivid and dynamic performances, Thai and Chinese cultures engaged in profound its exchange, allowing guests to firsthand experience the unique charm of each culture. The entire event was immersed in a relaxed and joyous ambiance from beginning to end.

 We hope that China and Thailand will take the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations as a new starting point to deepen economic and trade cooperation, promote cultural exchanges, and jointly move towards a closer and more prosperous future! The association will actively contribute to the deepening and solidification of Sino-Thai economic and trade cooperation, accelerate the "going global" of Shantou's textile and garment industry, and explore broader international markets.
